Respite care
The care we provide
Respite, or short stay care, is provided at all UV Caregroup homes for those residents who do not require longer term care. A short term stay may be needed for a period of convalescence after an operation, accident or illness, or because the resident’s usual carer is on holiday or a short break. It is not unusual for short stays to be repeated, and often our respite residents decide to stay for the longer term once they have experienced life at a UV Caregroup home.
We provide respite care for residents requiring residential or dementia care.
Our approach to respite care is as rigorous as for our longer term residents. Each respite resident receives the same high standards of care as our longer term residents and can also take advantage of the many benefits of living at a UV Caregroup home, namely our exceptional facilities, menus, activities and entertainment, and, of course, the opportunity to make new friends.
Respite stays, by their short term nature, can be perhaps a little daunting at first for both our residents and their loved ones. We know this, so, as we do when we welcome any resident to us, we make a special effort to make our respite residents feel welcome, happy and valued.
If you would like to find out more and whether we can help care for you, or your loved one, please call any of our homes and arrange for a visit at your convenience. Click here for a list of contact numbers or to send us a message.
